Armed with the GPS, looking for Nyangung Falls, 7 Waterfall Survivors members started our adventure from Kuala Lumpur at 0800. Have a nice breakfast at the Karak Town. Jungle Boy Ben who's from Telemong has not seen the falls himself. But with the coordinates that Harry gave.. we started our way through the offroad in Ben's little jeep... Getting near to the coordinate of the falls... Where is the trail head???? Oopss... No trail...
We had to scramble down some soft soils.. (very soft....) and started bashing through the jungle... Ben was far ahead.. looking for the right way to go down... After a short scrambling down... We could hear the sound of the waterfall from far.... I think we are near.... Ben shouted from far...
After walking another 50 meters.. we saw the riverbank ahead of us... To our excitement... we added our speed to see the falls...
YES!!! We found it... That's Nyangung Falls... A fall that Joe has always wanted to see...
After taking some pictures...We decided to continue our adventure for the day to Lata Seminyang. We left Nyangung after half and hour...
Hmm.. a trail leading up... Good.. we'll take the vague trail. Climbing up the steep slope... we could see that we are reaching the road soon.. The trees was fallen as there were excavators pushing all the trees down to make a logging trail... So we had to climb pass the tress on the steep slope... not an easy task..
We finally made it to the top. Climb on Ben's little jeep and continued our journey to Seminyang. We reach the campsite near the river. Joe decided to take the river trek instead of the jungle trail. Down the river all of us went. Was a nice river trekking... Suddenly.. Joe heard a loud noise... turned to look at Ben... "Yeah.. I heard that too" Ben said.. It was MAYBANK... the tiger's roaring sound...
Along the river trekking, we used small bundles of dried leaves to create some fire and little smoke... To inform Mr Tiger that we are there... PLEASE DON'T COME....
Along the way, we heard Mr Tiger roared another time. This time was nearer. We quickly continued our trekking and stayed as close to each other as possible. We reached the Seminyang Falls safely.
We had a good dip at the Seminyang Falls. This time.. the water volume at the Seminyang Falls was not as great as the last time Joe went. But it's really beautiful and amazing.
We had our lunch at the falls. The weather was not promising and we decided to head back. Going back to the car was easy... We took the jungle trail that is less than 20 minutes.
We enjoyed 2 nice waterfalls, nice scare by Mr. Tiger, nice trekking, nice clear waterfall. Everyone was starving.
After the waterfalls, all of headed to Ben's house nearby. A real nice place for relaxing... we were greeted by Happy... Ben's St. Bernard... and Mui Tao.. the cute dog who loves to swim. Fishing Pond, Passion Fruit Trees... such a nice home Ben has..
To sum up the day, we went to Bukit Tinggi for a nice dinner before we head back to Kuala Lumpur.
